The Brief: Loft apartment with a scandinavian twist. Mission to give the apartment a sense of space. Find storage for rather a lot of shoes too!!!
I recommended clever storage and mood lighting, with in an overall style of light, bright but chic colour ways with fun graphic imagery.
Complete re design from sourcing lighting, solid wood flooring, stair runners, switches and sockets, wallpaper hand rails, along with designing bespoke storage, for which I then commission a local joiners, who exactitude and translated my design beautifully.
Stage 1 – storage challenge
I designed some clever storage to maximise the challenging small space, working with the sloping ceilings and tight corners, creating storage with movement to use every inch of space available. In this case an old doorway size wardrobe space already built into the wall. Not to be wasted!!!
Heavy industrial runners used to Pull out the wardrobe and pull out chest of draws. “Now you see it now your don’t” a number of draws and an assortment of cupboards and floor to ceiling shoes storage.
Bed side tables with added mood lighting blow casing light across the floor. Adjustable Stalk reading light on both units.
Stage 2 – Stairs
Redesign the stair wells – New colour scheme with fun tree motifs graphic wallpaper with complement stair runner. Solid wood flooring running through out the apartment and running down the stairs. With a replacement stainless steel hand rail to complement and tie in with the new light sockets and switches completing the fun new look.
Stage 3 – Sitting room
Mood lighting has already been installed and a fresh new redecoration light bright colour scheme applied. Again new solid wood flooring.

Materials
Carcass is a mix of melamine Faced MDF and melamine faced plywood.
All Doors and drawer front are melamine faced plywood.
